Reviving the Blog + Nomster updates!

Ashley Moulton Nomster Chef founder Demo Day

Hello there, interwebs! It's been too long since we've chatted. I have big plans to get this blog going again, and I thought we'd get started with a recap of the last 6 months...

I participated in the Education Design Studio incubator, which is an Educational Technology ("EdTech") startup incubator affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. During the 6 month program, the 7 companies in the cohort participated in monthly intensives in Philadelphia where we learned the ins and outs of the EdTech industry and business related topics (marketing, sales, etc.) from great speakers and mentors. The program culminated with a Demo Day, where we presented our progress to investors and other members of the EdTech community.

The incubator was a fantastic experience, and we really enjoyed getting to know our fellow incubator companies. (Shout out to 2gno.me, Caseworx, Innovative X, Litmus, NeuroTinker, and Trivia Note, you guys rock!) And if you want to learn more about the incubator and other EdTech happenings at UPenn, this philly.com article has a great summary.

As part of the incubator, we ran a pilot with families all across the country. They got to be the first to try 5 of our step-by-step illustrated recipe storybooks, and sent us feedback on the recipes (as well as amazing photos of cute kids!). It was such a pleasure working with our pilot families, and we'll be testing more recipes soon! If you'd like to sign up to be a recipe tester, the best way to do that is to sign up for our newsletter or our waitlist so you know when the next round of recipe testing begins.

Here are some of our favorite pics of our Nomster Chefs from the pilot:

That's some of what we've been up to recently. We've got a lot more cooking up this spring, stay tuned!
