Kids: gather your grown-ups, your siblings, your dolls, and your stuffed animals, because it’s time for tea! Pretend tea parties are already pretty awesome, but real tea parties are even awesome-er!

This recipe helps you learn how to brew real tea with different kinds of tea and different types of equipment. This recipe is perfect for kid chefs age 8-12 to make mostly by themselves (grown-up help indicated by the hand symbol).

It’s in the “Tea Party” chapter of my cookbook, which also includes Tiny Tea Sandwiches and Mini Orange Cakes. If you want more great recipes to help kid chefs celebrate things big and small, check out the Let’s Party! Kids Cookbook. It’s available now wherever books are sold online.
